Floating Market

The first thing that we did was stop by the floating market. The market we went to was just a few hours outside of Bangkok & it was great. We arrived early before nearly anyone was there & stayed to see things pick up. It was a cool. A Thailand original. We shopped around, enjoyed some fresh coconut ice cream & took in our cool surroundings. I love people watching in every setting but this was a gold mine. Floating market for the win!

Doi Inthanon.

One of my favorite things that I've done since arriving in Thailand is exploring Doi Inthanon National Park. It was incredible and the way we did it was just right. We started out by making a quick stop at some big waterfall that I cant remember the name of. It was beautiful but very touristy.

After we made our way to one of the Karen Tribe Villages, where we spent most of our day. I loved it. I live for getting a glimpse into authentic culture & this was just that. We were able even to enjoy some fresh brewed coffee grown within the village. Sooo good.

The Karen Tribe believes that a male from their tribe must accompany people into the mountains or else they will die. So we recruited a gentleman and we were on our way into the forest. It was lovely & super untouched. Waterfalls around every turn. No real trails, just a whole lot of beauty.

Their irrigation system was super cool. 

We saw all sorts of creatures. Snakes, crabs and crazy bugs. 

Later we went to the King & Queens Pagodas. They were pretty but we mostly just explored the garden area. This is the tallest mountain in Thailand pretty neat.

Later we walked around a "scenic trail" & went to the actual "tallest point" in Thailand. 

Overall our trip to Doi Inthanon was a total success. 

Treehouse Livin.

A few weeks ago we stayed at Rabeang Pasak Treehouse Resort. The best way I can describe it is magical. From the moment we got there my heart was happy. It was located in the middle of nowhere Chiang Mai in some village that I cant remember the name of. We spent our time there relaxing in our treehouse, playing with the zillion cats, biking through the forest, exploring bat caves, eating unreal food, swimming in the river & just being happy. 

This is the tree house that we stayed in! So perfect. 

The bathroom and shower were separate from the actual house. I wish I could shower outdoors every day. Nothing beats being outside in the warm air and listening to the water fall to the ground.
