Redwoods Day Three.

Our last day in the Redwoods was one full of many different emotions. We started the day on the beach with a nice picnic equipped with apples, peanut butter & other mix matched food from the trip. We seriously looked homeless. Actually we looked homeless the whole trip. Probably because we were. Either way people were constantly giving us weird looks & wondering why we were brushing our teeth in parking lots using water from Carl;s Jr cups.
We then made our way into Fern Canyon. This place was sweeeeeeet. Fun fact, they filmed one of the Jurassic Parks there. Anyways all was well & we were giddy about our beautiful surroundings. An hour or so into our excursion we decided to sit down on a bridge & enjoy a sandwich. Through a series of unfortunate events Rebekah ended up dropping her phone off of the bridge into the river below us. IT WAS AWFUL. Mostly because we instantly knew that we had just lost so many of the great photos that we had taken the last few day. I was ticked. Seriously I was more upset about the whole thing than Bekah was. We shimmied down the canyon to recover the phone from the river & retrieved it maybe twenty minutes later. Surprisingly when we first got it was working! We were so stoked that we decided to make a quick sprint back to the car to try to save it. Things went down hill from there & we were never able to save the phone or any of our pics. But fear not things got better from here.
We headed back down the coast & stopped at some pretty rad places along the way. My favorite being a little shop full of different wood carvings. We bought some big foot attire from that cool old man. We then went to the little town of Eureka. It was darling! We ended up at College Cove & man it didn't disappoint. We may or may not have read online that this was a swimsuit optional beach but this didn't stop us. It was wonderful & there were very few people there. Towards the end of the night we had the whole place to ourselves. We did yoga & watched the sunset. That night we went to another diner & ended up sleeping in our car. It wasn't half bad. I will include some seriously ugly & trashy photos to prove it. That basically concludes our trip. The next day consisted of naps on the beach & several flights home. Overall it was such a success. I'm already itching to get myself back into those trees.
