It's been one of those weekends from heaven & I just want to share my love. Shortly after the basketball game Friday night I had the biggest adventure of my life. I know words wont do it justice but I'm going to give it a stab anyways. Basically after a sketchy two hour drive we arrived at the snow covered Spanish Fork at 12:00 a.m. We embarked onto an icy trail in nothing but our swimsuits and a light sweats. Expecting a one mile hike we were surprised when our journey to the hot springs took almost two hours. Upon arriving I quickly learned that sulfur is seriously rank and smells like rotten eggs. The actual hot springs were heavenly but when we got out I've never been so cold and my hair was literally icicles. The hike back was so scary that we all stopped and prayed. The trail was covered in ice and I don't say that lightly. Every single member of our ten person group fell/ slide down hills at least twice. It was insane. I felt like I was an Eskimo the whole time, even a little bear grylls status but maybe that's just because it was four in the morning. While shimmying across a cliff on a tiny iced over path I've never said so many prayers or been more scared in my life. Little did I know that at this time we were also being followed by a cougar. We all made it out without any injuries, there is a god. When I arrived home Mr. Reggie Gates was sleeping on my bed. It was the most random thing of my life. My sleep deprived self let him sleep on the other side of my bed but only under the condition that he promised not to touch me. It was all too strange. Awesome picture I know but it's the memories that count.
The next day The Red Iguana, Temple Square and The Gateway were all attended. I will tell you one thing SL,UT is beautiful this time of year.
Today was filled with friends, Harry Potter, unbelievable amounts of food and Christmas festivities. Jessica & I are elfs, it's fine really.
