If You Can't Sleep.

I think I have slept a total of six hours in the last three days. I'm ill but it's my own fault. I jinxed myself by saying that I miss being sick. Yeah screw this. It's five something or other & I'm patiently waiting for the sun to rise so I can have one of those serene starts to my day. Regardless of feeling like my head is constantly going to explode my life is so good. I think the people in my life can attest to the fact that I'm really happy because I make it a point to tell them every five seconds. I simply cant contain my feelings regarding this joy that I haven't felt for longer than I can remember.

California was so good to me. Let me break it down for you. Tacos. Bombay. 75 degree weather (you know you are getting old when the weather becomes one of your favorite topics of conversation and not a back up for a pause of silence). Chicken & waffles. Hollywood. Ukulele. Deep talks. Homemade pizza. Overpriced Gelato. Exhaustion. Venice Canals. Architecture.  L.A.'s best thrift stores. Cheesecake factory. Food comas. Juno. Griffith Observatory. City Lights. Singing in the car. Ditty Riese. Kayaking. Seals. Trader Joes. Directions. Laughter. Fast Break cravings. HAPPINESS.

Also, Erin, Nicole & I. Rode a tandem bike. Went to an art festival. Talked to friendly artists.  Drank Starbucks. Watched a movie. Made an Italian dinner. More laughing. More music. More good food. Dein & I. Found me a climbing harnass. Went for a hike.Talked about the unseen things in life. Indulged in glaciers.Went to the park. Played some music. Watched my favorite movie.

I know, I know. It's just lot of food and laughter but I'm now able to enjoy my life and thats something to celebrate. A few more things...
- I bought my Shins ticket yesterday. Holla.
- I received free peppermint Ice cream.
- Today is the first day of Lent. Wish me luck.

ONCE IS BETTER THAN A LIFETIME.

I blog SO much lately. I'm aware. But I am seriously so happy these days and I want to remember my good times. I'm in California right now. Waiting to go to the beach. It's wonderful.

So guess what?
I SAW BOMBAY BICYCLE CLUB LAST NIGHT!! I almost don't even want to attempt to blog about it because words cannot explain how great it really was. Hands down the funnest concert I have ever been to in my life. I lost my mind. Honestly it was too good to be true & way better than I was expecting. They even played all of my favorites. Everything was perfect & so was Lucy Rose. She is darling & I just want to be her. They were so chill that at the end of the concert they told everyone to come say hi. How cool are they? I made some new friends, danced myself silly & embraced some of the best music I've ever heard. My life is complete!

Wrap It Up.

There are a few irrelevant things that I want to remember about the last few weeks. Many that wont make any sense to the two of you that read this but bare with me.

-Honest to blog (Oh gosh I have always wanted to say that since I saw Juno) all I want to do is climb. I purchased a fine pair of climbing shoes & just want to spend every day at The Quarry.

-I pierced one of my ears again. It was rather impulsive.

- I know that everyone will be quick to correct me on this & I know I am wrong but I have come to lose my belief in romantic love. I don't know if it's due to the fact that I just had a tragic relationship ending or if I'm just being one of those lame pessimists. I just think people often confuse affection with flattery and "true love" with caring. I know I have. I believe in love but I think that mutual romantic love is rare these days. I hope that some day my ideology changes.

-I dressed up like Princess Leia so that Jess would watch Star Wars with me.

- I've been burning incense a lot. Mostly because they give me a headache and remind me of summer, which allows me to fall asleep.

-Deciding to take two weeks off of school was probably one of the poorest decisions I have ever made. But starting a new job where I go to lunch with my colleagues, dress myself in fancy clothes & get paid like a champ is probably one of the best.

-I think I'm addicted to concerts & eating out. There is just so much good to be had in these parts.

-I've been really grateful for Miss Bailey Sargent lately.

-I refuse to go see The Vow for awhile because I'm not emotionally stable enough.

-I've decided that Happy Valley really can be a happy and have made the decision to stay here for the summer. I'm going to be attending summer school as well which is something I NEVER thought I would do. But hey a few art & rock climbing courses doesn't seem all that bad.

-It's snowing & I just want to wear shorts.

-Last but not least I'm really excited this girl is playing with Bombay Bicycle Club.

Sundance Film Festival Is Cool.

It was a few weeks ago when my new twin Erin & I made our way up to Park City to attend Sundance Film Festival.
-I was in shock at how cute Park City was. Yes, it was my first time going. Gasp. I know, I know. I'm hooked now don't worry.
- Erin & I underestimated how enthralled we would become with all the beautiful art & spent hours analyzing it all.
-My feet have never been so cold in my life. We couldn't even walk back down main because it was so painful.
-There were some neat people. Especially this friendly, bearded gentleman with unreal talent on the piano.
-I can't even accurately describe what our film was about. Bizarre.
- I had macaroni grill for the first time. Soo good.
-I saw Stanley Tucci. For those of you who don't know who that is refer to the picture below. Embarrassingly enough & despite all my plans to play it cool, I was completely star struck & screamed like a little girl.

I Should Be Looking Outside.

I've been thinking a lot lately.
It's because I've actually been sleeping.
Sleep does weird things to me.
It all started when I was at Sundance Film Festival.
There was this man with a nice beard & backpack on the bus.
A large beautiful dog sat on his lap.
I watched him for almost an hour, in the least creepy way possible.
Dozens of people left & entered the bus.
He managed to make conversation with every single person that sat by him.
He told them of his many travels.
Not in a bragging manner but in an effort to relate to his new friends.
As he told of his adventures he would say "We backpacked through Alaska".
Or "We spent the evening in that city once, it's lovely".
I soon realized that he was referring to him & his dog.
This basic expression touched me.
There was an apparent happiness that this man found from the simplicity of life.
It was the upmost admirable.
It made me rethink things.
I've started doing things that make me feel good.
Because we have no reason not to.
Hence I spill out some of the simplest forms of happiness I know as of February 3, 2012.

The kid that sits outside my English class & plays his Ukulele.
Smoke on a sweater.
Wood.
Running like a bandit.
The wisdom of Leo Tolstoy.
Confessing true feelings without fear.
The way my oceanography teacher talks with a lisp sometimes.
Climbing.
Hearing my mom smile over the phone.
Nutella.
Seeing people that have maintained hope.
Art.
The word vigilant.
The hobo that sings on the corner of State Street.
The boy from building G.
Smiling for no reason.
An acoustic guitar.
Yelping.

Almost everything is a waste of time.
So do whatever makes you feel fine.

My First & Last Post About Skeptical Trends.

I tried to stop myself from writing this post, I swear it BUT the temptation was too strong. I simply cannot wrap my head around the logic and appeal behind some of today's "female fashion & lifestyle." Disclaimer: If you like these things that is perfectly fine and chances are you are still an outstanding human. I myself simply cannot not fathom why someone would want to participate in the following.

Zebra & Cheetah print. Sure throw a little in to mix up your attire if it really tickles your fancy, but I hardly think a safari print is suitable for your bag, shoes, phone cover, belt, nails, shirt & headband.

GRAMMAR POLICE SPEAKING. Take notes. Choose you're instead of your. Love instead of Luh. Cute instead of tute. My instead of mine.

Keep calm & .... It was cute at first. The thought of tumblr infiltrating everything but it has exploded. Keep calm & watch breaking dawn. Keep calm & eat veggies. Keep calm & put it in the burn book. Keep calm & sleep with a fireman. Really? Is that what you are going to do next time you feel your stress level rising?

Spikes. I don't know who okayed this but you would be surprised how many people I see wearing these. Spikes (or studs or whatever kids call them these days) should be used for the sole purpose of hurting or threatening an individual. They should not be placed on any article of clothing under any circumstance & that's that.Even gauchos would be a more suitable choice.
Cats. I guess many would say you are either a cat or a dog person. Fair enough. But for me personally nothing about the spiny, squeamish little creatures makes me think photo opp. I feel as if everyday some girl on my social networks is posting a picture of her and her beloved cat Tinkerbell. Maybe we are just breeding a generation of cat women. Beats me.

Quotes. Those quotes about how every girl gets hurt and deserves a better guy.. You know the drill. I think it's true that many girls do get hurt and many girls do deserve better but don't you think that guys have similar issues. Girls aren't always being picked on. If these quotes are true & everyone of them deserves better, then are they implying that a suitable match doesn't exist for anyone? What a pity.

Glitter Obsession. Why?

There's No Place Like Home.

I know, I know. I am being a blog whore and posting a plethora of videos but this is beyond necessary. Southern Utah is absolutely stunning. Who'd rather be anywhere else?
